With it being Thanksgiving week, I thought it would be fun to go through some of the things that I am grateful for. There will be some obvious ones, but I think there are some fun and interesting ones in there as well.
1. My Family
Fairly obvious. I am grateful for my mom, who is always there for my and is a huge supporter of my photography. I am grateful for my dad, who makes me laugh and is always worried about me. I am grateful for my sister, who shows me things she thinks I will find funny and is my best friend. And I am grateful for my dogs, who are always happy to see me and are always down to cuddle.
2. Warm Blankets
The comfiest and fluffiest blankets are the best. And the best feeling, is when I wake up on a cold morning all cozy and warm. That is one of the best feelings and I am so grateful for it.
I honestly don't know what my life would be like if I didn't have music. There is music for every occasion, it makes me feel so many different emotions. Music is magical. I am never bored of music.
The tiniest look at some songs I enjoy.
And this is the video to one of my current favorites, Pop Culture by Madeon.
I am always so grateful for nature and how beautiful it is. It's always so nice to just take a walk and just exist.
Odd, yes I know, but Pinterest has really been the source for a lot of my creative inspiration. There are so many talented people out in the world and Pinterest is just one place that gathers them all up and showcases their work. Seeing what others do, really helps discover what I want to do.
Shameless plug: My photography is on Pinterest, along with other things... check it out here.
6. Inspirational Women
The first one who comes to mind is Wonder Woman, while fictional, she is so strong and powerful as well as loving and kind. (If you haven't seen the Wonder Woman movie I highly suggest it.)
I also admire Carrie Fisher. She had a great attitude about basically doing what she wanted to do and not caring what others thought, well at least acting like she didn't care. It's hard to explain who is was as a person, and I am most definitely not the one to even try, but there is one quote from her that I really enjoy and that is, "Stay afraid, but do it anyway. What's important is the action. You don't have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow."
Emma Watson who is a strong believer and fighter for women rights, which is greatly needed these days.
Of course there are so many other women, but I can't list them all. If you would like to share some women that inspire you I would love to hear all about them.
7. Libraries and Books
Having access to so many free books and movies is amazing. I love to read, so being able to check out a book for a month without spending money is an amazing thing. Reading is also a great way for me to find inspiration, or learn about someone, or to travel to another universe. I am grateful that, for at least an hour on any given day, I can read a book and relax. I just reread A Wrinkle in Time. I read it when I was younger, but didn't remember much about it. I saw a trailer for the movie Disney made based on the book and that got me interested to read it again.
I love movies. They let me escape the real world for just a couple hours and go on many different journeys. I fall in love with so many of the characters, I enjoy so many of the stories. I love to watch action/adventure movies, Disney movies, romantic comedies, dramas, comic book movies, and musical movies. I love so many kinds of movies, except horror, and I could not live without them. I am so grateful that they exist and I am so grateful to everyone who works so hard on them. Seriously, so much work is put into making a movie and not everybody gets enough credit.
9. My Friends
I am so grateful for my friends who stick by me even when I am not my best self. Who stay by me when I screw up. Who message me just to say they miss me. Who support me and what I do and are always there to help me and give me advice. Who help boost my confidence when I am feeling less than. Who are just amazing people that I am lucky to call my friends.
10. Being able to have and experience everything that I have listed above and more. I am grateful that I recognize that I am lucky to have what I do and that life could be a lot worse.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week. And let me know, what are some of the things you are grateful for? What better time than now to share.
